Το έχω δει σε TU8072,σε Xiaomi Mi 4S 55"/43",σε TCL 50EP660 ,σε Philips 58",σε F&U 5020 και από ότι θυμάμαι και σε TU8072,πιθανώς υπάρχουν και άλλες.

Pseudo 4K RGBW με IPS έχω δει σε 43UN70006.

Το πιθανότερο είναι από του χρόνου όλες οι χαμηλομεσαίες τηλεοράσεις ανεξαρτήτου εταιρείας να το έχουν και μάλιστα στα κρυφά αφού κανένα review δεν κάνει κουβέντα.

Why did you decide this was a fake 4K?
This panel is RGB, VA, UHD. The problem is in the software algorithm by which T-Con controls the video panel.
Every second pixel does not light up because the photo was taken in gray fill on full display.

The article you are quoting is in Russian. I studied Russian and I will translate the text for the photos.

The idyll is spoiled by the halftone output function in the case of content playback via the TV itself. For example, here's what you look like when you increase the gray solid:

It can be seen that the halftones are obtained by alternating the chessboard to the brightness of the pixels. This leads to a real reduction in the clarity of gray images and to visible artifacts in the form of static "ripples" in the image, visible from a distance from which the eye can now distinguish a picture with Full HD resolution of 4K. This is not the case when working from external signal sources. Here is the same gray area when the computer is the signal source:

You can read the findings of Xavito and JL_? when they inspected pseudo 4K VA panels from Philips 50PUS6162 and 50PUS7304. For black and white tones the resolution is 3840x2160 but when they show colours their resolution is only half 1920x2160

Παρατηρώντας το πάνελ από πολύ κοντά στην 50PUS7304,κάτι παίζει με τα υποπίξελ ή με την διευθυνσιoδότηση των επιμέρους segments των sub-pixels δεν φαίνεται το ίδιο συμπαγές το VA πάνελ όπως σε άλλες με VA .Μάλλον ένας πιο ειδικός θα μπορούσε να το αναλύσει.

Όπως μπορεί να γίνει εμφανές στο μικροσκόπιο από τον καθένα, τροφοδοτώντας το πάνελ με λευκό, λειτουργούν όλα τα sub-pixel, ενώ με οποιονδήποτε άλλο τόνο, μόνο τα μισα. Άρα, η πραγματική ανάλυση είναι 1920x2160 για όλες τις ενδιάμεσες αποχρώσεις του γκρι και χρωμάτων και 3840x2160 μόνο για άσπρο 100%-μαύρο...

Τελικά, εκτός από τα ψευτό-4Κ IPS της LG, υπάρχουν και ψευτό-4Κ VA στην πιάτσα...

Χθες πέτυχα πρώτη φορά ένα, στην Philips 50PUS6162. Ναι μεν στο μικροσκόπιο φαίνεται ως ένα τυπικό RGB πάνελ, όμως μόνο τα μισά sub-pixel έχουν 8bit τρανζίστορ οδήγησης. Τα άλλα μισά, παίζουν με 1 bit οδήγηση, κοινή ανά τριάδα και ουσιαστικά στην πράξη συμπεριφερόνται σαν λευκά pixel. Το αποτέλεσμα είναι, τα συγκεκριμένα πάνελ να έχουν 3840x2160 ανάλυση μόνο για το άσπρο-μαύρο, αλλά σε χρώμα συμπεριφέρονται σαν 1920x2160, όπως και τα ψευτο-4Κ IPS της LG...

To better illustrate the changes, I put a photo of the backlight spectrum (on the right) and drew two black contours - one from Samsung from 2018, the other from 2019. As we can see, the valley between red and green decreases year by year, which reduces the coverage of the color palette. Two years ago we talked about 99% coverage of the DCI P3 pallet, a year ago by 94%, and this year by 93%. The difference of one percent is not significant, but the negative trend is certainly noteworthy.
