You can now turn off the "No Signal" message on the LG C1 OLED, which is a feature added by the latest firmware update of 03.20.12 (the last two digits may vary by region). According to our sources, this function will also be included in a forthcoming software update for last year's LG CX OLED to add 4K 120Hz Dolby Vision gaming support. Unfortunately, as in the 55NANO863P, the 50-inch model also repeated the strange phenomenon of distortion of the red color: instead of 75 percent red, the TV displayed a shade of color ... Orange.
This phenomenon occurred during playback of files from USB and DVB-T transmission. When playing the signal from HDMI, it occurred less frequently.
Unfortunately, this is the second model of the LG NanoCell TV that manifests this drawback.
Noticed by me for the first time during the test of the 55NANO863P model in June this year, it is repeated in the 50-inch model and this despite a different software version: 03.15.90 in 50NANO863P instead of 03.11.35 in 55NANO863P.
In other words, despite the passage of three months, this error still haunts the 863P series.
Perhaps the manufacturer is not aware of the problem, which is why I am raising this issue again.

Despite almost four times the contrast ratio, just like in the 55-inch model, the TV uses and factory activates "local dimming" (LPLED) – in my opinion, completely unnecessary.
LPLED in combination with edge lighting can only dim/dim entire vertical parts of the screen, which falsifies the image and destroys the original vision of the filmmakers (the frames come from HDR material, during which the backlight works at full power).
Fortunately, the manufacturer allows the user to turn off local dimming and then on the screen we will see dark and uniform blacks.

LG Display has revealed that it will introduce a 97-inch OLED panel next year, and so we expect LG Electronics to launch a 97in OLED TV in 2022.
Although the screen resolution is not specified, it's likely to be 8K rather than 4K to justify the significant price premium.

We also explain why LG stopped short of 100 inches, and had to settle with *only* a 97-inch OLED panel.

Είναι πολύ πιθανο ότι αρχές 2022, θα είναι διαθέσιμη έκδοση του KODI από ανεξάρτητο προγραμματιστή στο Content store της LG στις smart TV. Το εγχείρημα είναι δύσκολο γιατί οι LG smart TVs δεν τρέχουν android. Προς το παρόν είναι σε alpha stage και τρέχει σε developer mode σε pc. Όταν είναι έτοιμη θα υποβληθεί στην LG για να μπει στο Content store, από όπου και θα μπορούμε να την κατεβάσουμε. Λεπτομέρειες για το project εδώ:

All competing TVs were 55 inches in screen size, and were calibrated in SDR and HDR modes to the common standards used within the film and broadcast industry, perceptually matched to the Sony X300.
Thanks to Mr Maciej Koper who flew in from Poland to help with the calibrations.

All the TVs were masked, and their positions switched on shootout day, so the three calibrator judges (including Mr James Willmott who is a THX-certified video calibrator) didn't know which TV was which when scoring different picture attributes.

LG has started rolling out firmware update 03.20.80 which fixes the HDCP 2.2 bug on affected C1 & G1 OLED TVs. The OTA rollout is staggered, but you can also download the software from your regional LG support site to be installed manually via USB. We also measured the SDR & HDR peak brightness of firmware 03.20.45, 03.20.65 & 03.20.80, and found no significant differences according to our meters.
