VC DEMONSTRATES LASER HYBRID
PROJECTOR TECHNOLOGY AT 2014 FSEMC
WAYNE, NJ (Sept. 16, 2014) – JVC Professional Products Company, a division of JVC Americas Corp., will demonstrate its new BLU-Escent laser hybrid illumination projector technology at the 2014 Flight Simulator Engineering & Maintenance Conference (FSEMC), which runs Sept. 15-18 in Tulsa, Okla. Featured in JVC’s new DLA-VS2500 simulation projector, the technology offers lamp-free operation for significant operational cost savings.
BLU-Escent uses blue laser diode modules to excite a yellow phosphor applied to a high-speed, rotating aluminum disc. Distributing the phosphor around the periphery of the disc allows for a large surface area of phosphor to be used for illumination, providing greatly extended lifetime. Additionally, the high-speed rotation of the aluminum disc allows for effective cooling of the phosphor.
The system offers several advantages over lamp-based projectors, including more consistent colorimetry over time, greater output adjustment range, auto intensity control, longer optical system life and lower maintenance intervals. Its environmentally friendly technology is mercury-free and runs cooler than a lamp-based system.
With a similar footprint to the DLA-VS2400 model introduced last year, the DLA-VS2500 maintains its brightness significantly better than traditional lamp-based projection systems and allows installation at any angle. The projector also features UHD (3840x2160) precision and intelligent smear reduction. JVC will officially introduce the DLA-VS2500 at I/ITSEC 2014 in early December in Orlando, Fla.
“JVC is the first company to deliver a projector to the simulation market with laser hybrid illumination technology, which delivers very high performance and excellent contrast ratio. Finally, D-ILA image quality without the drawbacks of LED illumination technologies,” said Rod Sterling, chief engineer, JVC Technology Center. “With no bulb replacement required, the cost of ownership savings will be significant, particularly for government operations with demanding specifications in multi-screen applications.”

JVC Launches New BLU-Escent™ Laser Hybrid Projector Line

Long Beach, CA (Dec. 3, 2014) – JVC Visual Systems Division is introducing its new BLU-Escent™ laser hybrid illumination projector technology at I/ITSEC 2014, the leading event for training and simulation, this week in Orlando, Fla. The company is displaying its new DLA-VS2500ZG and DLA-VS2300ZG projectors, which have been optimized to meet the stringent requirements for simulation and visualization applications.

Projectors used in simulation operate for long periods, so there is a desire to move away from lamp-based projection to solid state illumination. Projectors using LED light sources are in the market, but they have typically sacrificed contrast and scene quality. The DLA-VS2500 and DLA-VS2300 represent the first three-chip laser hybrid projectors specifically designed for simulation, and have been designed to meet both FAA Level D and ICAO regulatory requirements.

“The simulation and training industry has been eager to see projection solutions that offer exceptionable image quality with long life and a reasonable price point,” said Jack Faiman, senior vice president, JVC Visual Systems Division. “We think the DLA-VS2500 and DLA-VS2300 perfectly hit this sweet spot.”

JVC has paid particular attention to the design of the new BLU-Escent illumination system, the key point to high performance, motion compatibility, and long lifetime. The JVC BLU-Escent hybrid technology features a blue laser diode array that provides the blue light and excites a yellow phosphor, which is applied to a high-speed, reflective rotating aluminum disc. The yellow light is then combined with the blue light to create white light. The environmentally friendly technology is mercury-free.

BLU-Escent projectors reduce maintenance and lower the cost of ownership by increasing the illumination and optical system life. The new projectors have increased light output, more consistent colorimetry, and greater light output adjustment range including auto intensity function. The new light source also removes orientation restrictions, allowing mounting in landscape or portrait mode at any pitch angle.

The DLA-VS2500 and DLA-VS2300 use three, 0.7-inch 1920x1080 D-ILA imagers. The VS2500 comes equipped with JVC’s unique e-shift technology, which shifts the image by 1/2 pixel in the diagonal direction at 120Hz, achieving 3840x2160 precision.

The product launch includes the following four BLU-Escent models:

DLA-VS2300G 1920x1080 Optional Fixed Lens
DLA-VS2300ZG 1920x1080 Zoom Lens
DLA-VS2500G 3840x2160 e-shift Optional Fixed Lens
DLA-VS2500ZG 3840x2160 e-shift Zoom Lens

All four projectors will be available in January 2015.

«Μικρός» DILA ;

''Φήμες ακούγονται στους κύκλους της JVC για παρουσίαση ενός μοντέλου έκπληξη σε μια πολύ «φθηνότερη» κατηγορία, που ούτε καν την φανταζόμαστε.

Hisense Vidaa Max (100P1)

At its press presentation at the 2015 International CES, Hisense has shown off the Vidaa Max, a short-throw laser projector that can beam a 100-inch image from a distance of only 2 feet.

hisense-vidaa-max-pres.jpg

The unit uses a blue laser diode that promises 25,000 hours of viewing time. This is coupled with the Texas Instruments DarkChip 3 Digital Light Processing (DLP) platform, offering a Full HD (1,920x1,080) resolution.

Connectivity options include HDMI, component, composite, VGA and USB, along with WiDi. The Vidaa also has a 5.1 Dolby-DTS sound, with 8-inch subwoofers and 5.8G Bluetooth surround speakers.

Two of the Vidaa Max were on display at the presentation, showing off a very bright and clear image with surprisingly deep blacks. One unit was displaying video that looked quite crisp, with little to no motion blur evident.

Άλλωστε το λεγόμενο: lower cost of operation
που αναφέρεται στην ουσία πληρώνεται προκαταβολικά.
