Today we announced DaVinci Resolve 18 Beta 2 update, which adds support for the new object mask capability in magic mask. Using the object mask, you’ll be able to recognize and track the movement of thousands of unique objects. The DaVinci Neural Engine intuitively isolates animals, vehicles, people and food, plus countless other elements for advanced secondary grading and effects application in DaVinci Resolve Studio.
For DaVinci Resolve Studio, this update also improves Dolby Atmos immersive mixing including binaural monitoring. This means a Dolby 7.1.4 mix can be rendered to playback in a pair of headphones while maintaining the immersive sound experience from just two audio channels. Plus the update adds native support for Dolby Atmos production for Linux and Apple M1 Macs as well as the ability to render Dolby Vision compatible H.265 clips on Intel Macs and Windows computers.
When switching timelines, the purple proxy indicator status will now refresh reliably every time allowing you to quickly and easily identify proxies on the timeline. You’ll also experience improved system stability when zooming out on a timeline with markers.
In addition, this update improves performance with Intel HD and Ultra HD graphics systems and more reliably applies sizing presets on clips without grades.

Today we announced DaVinci Resolve 18 Beta 3 update, which adds support for 2x faster object mask processing on M1 Macs. This means magic mask will more quickly recognise and track the movement of objects such as animals, vehicles, people and more, speeding up your color grading and effects workflow in DaVinci Resolve Studio.
For Windows users, when upgrading a project from version 17 to 18 of DaVinci Resolve, your smart bins will now more reliably recall settings for clip inclusion. This means if you have set your smart bins to automatically sort footage based on metadata such as camera, date or scene in DaVinci Resolve 17, your settings will be recalled correctly when you upgrade to DaVinci Resolve 1
For audio, if you have added automation to your track and wish to trim the clip, Fairlight will now more reliably record your changes and play back your trimmed clip with automation making it easier to make quick audio changes. While on the edit page, when normalising audio, DaVinci Resolve will now consistently set and recall target levels for timeline clip
For Fusion, this update addresses an occasional issue where image brushes couldn’t be selected in the paint node. This update also improves paint clone offsets when working in non square aspect ratios such as anamorphic images, ensuring that the cloned image pastes in the correct position. This means you’ll be able to paint out unwanted objects or paint in creative effects to improve your shots, regardless of the aspect ratio of your medi

Today we released DaVinci Resolve Public Beta 6 which adds support for Blackmagic RAW 2.6 as well as footage from the ARRI Alexa 35 camera.
This update also improves your workflow with camera gyro stabilized clips, allowing you to change the strength of the stabilization without the clip needing to be reanalyzed. Aliasing behavior has also been improved meaning sharp edges will appear cleaner on your camera gyro stabilized clips.
In addition, DaVinci Resolve Public Beta 6 addresses an issue reading source files when working with fully cached clips meaning they will more reliably appear online during playback. For audio, when using elastic wave retiming on small audio clips, the retiming will be more accurately reflected on the waveform making it faster and easier for you to retime voiceover or sound effects to match the picture.
