Today we announced DaVinci Resolve 17.2.2 Update which adds additional playback support for decoding and grading Blackmagic RAW 2.1 clips.

This update also adds better Bluetooth connectivity for DaVinci Resolve Speed Editor. Now you will be able to more reliably connect when you first link to DaVinci Resolve as well as after computer sleep cycles. You’ll also get better YouTube credential recognition, so when you enter your YouTube credentials in the preferences section, they will be recognized every time you export directly to Youtube. This enables you to deliver finished work to your channels more quickly without having to re-enter your details every time.

Improvements to color mapping mean you’ll see a more accurate representation of source clip highlights in color managed workflows. This update also supports smoother, more responsive playback when scrubbing or dragging the playhead across clips when viewing footage in the source viewer on the edit or cut pages.

DaVinci Resolve 17.2.2 is available now as a free download from http://bmd.link/3wU3hV

DaVinci Resolve 17.3

Logo

About DaVinci Resolve 17

The free DaVinci Resolve 17 includes all of the same high quality processing as DaVinci Resolve 17 Studio and can handle unlimited resolution media files. However it does limit project mastering and output to Ultra HD resolutions or lower. DaVinci Resolve 17 only supports a single processing GPU on Windows and Linux and 2 GPUs on the latest Mac Pro.
If you need features such as support for multiple GPUs, 4K output, motion blur effects, temporal and spatial noise reduction, de-interlacing, HDR tools, camera tracker, multiple Resolve FX, 3D stereoscopic tools and remote rendering, please upgrade to DaVinci Resolve 17 Studio.
We hope you do decide to upgrade as your facility grows and you do more advanced work!

Today we announced DaVinci Resolve 17.3 Update which adds support for a new, more efficient processing engine that’s up to 3 times faster. With this additional speed, you can play back, edit and grade 4K projects much more quickly on Mac models with the M1 chip and can even work on 8K projects on an M1 notebook! The improved processing engine also means you will be able to work in DaVinci Resolve for up to 30% longer before needing to plug in to recharge your notebook.

This update also adds new Resolve FX controls including aperture diffraction in DaVinci Resolve Studio which now has an anamorphism control to emulate a wider range of lenses. Mosaic blur has new grid shapes and greater control, allowing you to more precisely adjust the amount and appearance of pixellation. Keyer garbage mattes now have rotation controls, making it easier to remove unwanted items from view while new saturation and gamma controls on the glow plugin give you greater control and subtlety over your lighting effects.

For audio, there are improvements in audio latency with new drivers that allow you to make adjustments to the input buffering and processing latency. This allows you to optimize the process for your specific hardware, making recording and playback easier and smoother. Better Fairlight export dialog means you can export selected clips or tracks directly from the Fairlight page and include clip levels, fades, EQ and effects or iXML metadata as well as being able to normalize your clips to match different loudness standards. This makes it easier and faster to pass on audio for further processing or inclusion in a larger project.

Additional improvements include subclip match framing where edits from subclips can now be match framed back to your original larger clip in the media pool, giving you the ability to extend your in and out points on the timeline more quickly. Plus, DaVinci Resolve will now decode AVC Intra files using the media engine built into the Apple M1 chip, making decoding and playback faster when working with these file formats.

"This is truly an amazing update that gives customers huge performance and power efficiency gains on Mac models with M1, and it totally transforms your computer, simply by downloading this free of charge DaVinci Resolve software update" said Blackmagic Design CEO Grant Petty in a press release. "This speed increase is stunning and it's hard to believe. I have not seen a speed improvement this large since the original 68000 to Power PC transition back in the 1990s and it is just amazing. Who would have thought just a year ago that multiple 4K streams could be played back and edited natively on a MacBook Air, but it's easy now on DaVinci Resolve with M1. The engineering team has worked so hard on this new image processing engine for DaVinci Resolve, and it is an incredibly exciting time to be developing software for the Mac!"

DaVinci Resolve 17.3.1 Update
Έχουμε νέα έκδοση παλι
Today we announced DaVinci Resolve 17.3.1 update which allows you to combine multiple audio files from the Fairlight page and export them as one interleaved broadcast wave file. This means that you can now choose to combine different audio sources such as a stereo pair and a 5.1 multichannel clip and export them as a single interleaved file. Once transferred to another system, they will import as their original separate file groupings, making for easier workflow collaboration on audio projects.

Additionally, Windows users can now consistently save YouTube and Vimeo sign in credentials making it faster to export directly to these platforms from DaVinci Resolve. This update also adds the ability to simply middle click your tablet’s pen while over a clip in the gallery to copy its grade to the current shot in the viewer, speeding up your color grading workflow.

You’ll also get improved stability when adding stills to the memories section of the gallery meaning you can more confidently and quickly store and retrieve variations of grades you’re working on, as well as improved Apple ProRes 4444 processing on Apple Mac M1 models, giving you a more reliable rendering workflow.
