Bad Mathematics/The Velvoids and a host of others at smt Funny you should say that K we have another interesting gig coming up with the Velvoids on the 4th of April at the Mikro Mousiko Theatro. This one is an acoustic extravaganza with a lot of different musicians taking part, we are all going to do very short acoustic sets plus a series of jams between different individual band members. We (BM that is) will play two or three pieces that haven't been heard in a long while live. Or we may do some of our heavier tracks in a more Jazzy setting... you'll all just have to come and see for yourselves. Also and more importantly, this gig is to help save the small music theatre from closing down, and since the smt is one of the (if not THE) most important venues in Greece for the underground scene, it is really vital that everyone who can, will be there to support this. Just a little historical note: The smt was opened by Tassos Grivas and Thodoris Zioutos some 10 years ago in order to create a real centre for modern music and to give musicians a place where they could go and play their music. It is essentially an experimental stage, but it has hosted just about every name in this scene that is worth bothering about. Anyway we all felt that it was time to pay a little of that support back, and do our bit to help out. For us as Bad Mathematics the place has been like a second home where we have debuted every new track from our long history. So be there or risk losing one more true cultural centre in Greece to the plethora of skiladika. Bring your entire parea with you. The tickets are 3 Euros and the night starts at 10 o'clock promptly (really)... And thanks for all the support. We look forward to seeing all of you there. All money from the door will be given to the smt as a small part of our attempt at financial help to keep the place alive, even just for a year longer.
