Ναι , μετα απο πανω απο 60 χρονια τα Oscar επιστρεφουν οπως ειχαν ξεκινησει , με τις υποψηφιοτητες για την καλυτερη ταινια να ειναι 10.
Τελευταια φορα το 1943 με νικητη τη Casablanca
Το 1931/1932 ηταν 8 υποψηφιες ενω το 1934/1935 ηταν 12.

Προσωπικές εκτιμήσεις:

Α' ανδρικού: Τζεφ Μπρίτζες (προσωπική επιλογή ο Τζέρεμυ Ρένερ, αλλά δεν υπάρχει περίπτωση να ψηφιστεί).
Α' γυναικείου: Σάντρα Μπούλοκ
Β' Ανδρικού: ο εκπληκτικός Κριστόφ Βαλς
Β' Γυναικείου: Μονίκ

Τα παραπάνω Όσκαρ φαίνονται να έχουν ήδη κλειδώσει, σύμφωνα και με τις μέχρι τώρα βραβεύσεις. Όσον αφορά στα δυο βασικά βραβεία ταινίας-σκηνοθεσίας, το παιχνίδι, απ'ότι φαίνεται, θα παιχθεί μεταξύ Άβαταρ και Hurt Locker, ενώ δύσκολα θα παίξει ο Ταραντίνο ως αουτσάιντερ. Για το πρώτο, δε νομίζω ότι ο Κάμερον κινδυνεύει (δεδομένου ότι το Άβαταρ αποτελεί τη μοναδική ταινία-φαινόμενο της χρονιάς, αλλά για το δεύτερο πλέον η Μπίγκελοου παίζει αρκετά δυνατά μετά τα δυο τελευταία βραβεία των ενώσεων κριτικών και σκηνοθετών. Πιθανόν όμως στο τέλος, το κύρος του Κάμερον να υπερισχύσει και η Ακαδημία να του κλείσει το μάτι. Το μόνο σίγουρο είναι ότι το βράδυ της απονομής, ένας από τους δυο πρώην συζύγους θα χαμογελάσει πικρά. Στα τεχνικά βραβεία υποθέτω ότι το Άβαταρ θα πάρει σχεδόν τα πάντα. Ας ελπίζουμε να μην υπάρξουν κατάφορες αδικίες και να μη φύγουν με εντελώς άδεια χέρια τουλάχιστον οι Μπίγκελοου και Ταραντίνο, αφενός γιατί η πρώτη είναι ήδη 58 ετών και δύσκολα θα προταθεί ξανά, ενώ και ο δεύτερος έκανε μια πραγματικά καλή ταινία μετά από αρκετό καιρό.

Η αποφαση της ακαδημιας να κανει 10 τις υποψηφιοτητες για την καλυτερη ταινια ειχε αποφασισθει απο το καλοκαιρι.
"Τα τελευταια χρονια βλεπαμε οτι ειχαμε περισσοτερες επιλογες για βραβευση καλυτερης ταινιας ετσι αποφασισαμε να κανουμε τις υποψηφιοτητες 10"
ηταν μεταξυ αλλων τα λογια του προεδρου της AMPAS Sid Ganis.

Φυσικα υπαρχουν και αλλες ερμηνειες οπως αυξηση τηλεθεασης μιας και οι επιλογες ειναι περισσοτερες και καλυπτουν μια μεγαλυτερη γκαμα κινηματογραφοφιλων (!!!).

Ετσι εχουμε 10 ταινιες με τις 5 απο αυτες να εχουν εισπραξεις πανω απο 100μυρια εκαστη και αλλες 3 κατω απο ... 13μυρια

και αν κερδισει θα ειναι η ταινια με τα χαμηλοτερα εσοδα κατι που εχει να γινει απο το 1968 και το Oliver! του Carol Reed (περιπου 20 μυρια)
