There are some results that actually may seem strange, but we have checked a couple of times. We preferred to leave so rather than "trick" the results to make them appear more righteous. In theory, the panel size should affect very little (say 5%) and taking into account the fact that the shots are 10 ms should not be differences, and at the same address all panels should have the same input lag.

Τα 160 (και 10 - μα 10;;; σε game mode) της 9704 μου φαίνονται υπερβολικά λίγα. Μήπως το reference που χρησιμοποιούν έχει lag και δεν το αναφέρουν;

As we conducted the test

The best way we found to do the test, and especially the way that gives results strictly comparable with each other, was to use an Acer laptop with HDMI output and let him create a timer with seconds and milliseconds. The notebook is adjusted in clone mode: in this way what is seen leaving the monitor matches what you see HDMI output.
L'.
HDMI output we connected to the TV. After starting the timer we took a barrage of pictures (photos taken at d we verified that the response was more or less aligned in the different shots and we did a quick media, even if 90% of cases it was not necessary) with a reflex to a low shutter speed (and ISO 12800) and compared the numbers appearing on the notebook screen and on TV screens. The difference between these numbers gives us the so-called input lag "between the source and your TV. The higher the input lag, the TV is less suitable for certain types of game.

Some considerations

  • We do not know if the HDMI output of your notebook has a few millisecond delay with respect to the display, however, since the source is identical for all tests, it has no bearing on the results.

  • Inserting an amplifier equipped with a video processor between source and TV, it automatically adds input lag. We have considered a direct connection.

  • The notebook was configured to 1920 x 1080 and we chose a model of Acer Aspire with monitors 18 "1920 x 1080.
    .
The resolution of the TV was the native: in this way we made sure that does not enter into the scaler function, or that processor that adapts the image to fill the screen.
    .
    He made every notebook.
    .
The test took place then in the best case possible for the TV.
